Guided Quail Hunting in South Georgia

Simplicity. Tradition.
The Hunt Done Right.

There’s nothing quite like a day spent outdoors with family and friends, making memories that last long after the hunt is over. At Dirt Road Dog Company, we believe quail hunting is about more than just the birds. It’s about good company, shared traditions, and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors together.

Climb aboard our custom hunting buggy and experience the excitement of watching our Field Bred English Cocker Spaniels and Small Munsterlanders do what they love most. We proudly hunt behind dogs from our own carefully developed bloodlines, built on more than 15 years of dedication to quality breeding, natural ability, and a love for the sport.

Whether you’re introducing the next generation to quail hunting or enjoying a day in the field with old friends, our goal is simple: to provide an authentic Southern hunting experience filled with great dogs, good memories, and traditions worth passing down.

A Personal Hunt,
Not a Production

We're a small, family-run operation, and we like it that way. You won't be shuffled through with large groups or rushed out on a commercial plantation schedule. Your hunt is guided by Derry Cannon, who has guided quail hunts since 2008, with our own dogs and at a pace that lets you enjoy your time afield. It works for seasoned wingshooters and first-timers alike, and it's a great fit for friends, family, or a small group of clients.

client testimonials

"I've wanted to take my grown kids on a quail hunt for years, and this was everything I hoped for. Derry made all of us feel at home. Watching those dogs work in front of the buggy had everyone grinning, and my son still talks about that first covey flush. Now that the kids are grown, getting all of us together is hard, and this is a day we'll remember for a long time." -Richard S.

"I brought a few of my clients down for an afternoon hunt, and it was the best client outing I've hosted. It was relaxed and personal, with no big crowds or rushed schedule. The dogs were incredible, the birds were plentiful, and everyone went home with birds and a story. Two of my clients have already asked when we're going back."  - Leon W.
